Legal Notice

What we collect

We only collect data when you write to us or register for an event.

• Contact form: name, email address, subject (optional) and message. Of your IP address we keep only a cryptographic fingerprint, which lets us recognise repeated submissions without identifying you; the address itself is never stored.
• Event registration: first name, last name, email address, phone (optional) and your answers to the event's own fields, including any paid add-ons you select.
• Card payment: handled entirely by Stripe on its own pages. Card details never pass through our systems; we keep only the transaction identifier and the amount owed.
• QR-bill payment: we generate a PDF invoice carrying your name and a payment reference, sent to your email address.

Why we process it

The legal basis is performance of the membership or contractual relationship for registrations, and legitimate interest for replies to enquiries, under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP).

• To answer enquiries sent through the contact form.
• To manage event registrations and their capacity.
• To send registration email: confirmation, payment instructions, event updates.
• To collect attendance fees and paid add-ons.

Providers that process data for us

We do not sell or pass your data to third parties for marketing.

• Supabase — database of registrations and messages. Public access is disabled; the data is readable only by the server.
• Resend — delivery of transactional email (confirmations, notifications, auto-reply).
• Stripe — card payments, through Stripe-hosted pages.
• Cloudflare Turnstile — anti-spam verification on forms.
• Cloudflare R2 — storage of the photographs published in the gallery.
• Vercel — site hosting and aggregate traffic statistics.

Event photography

Photographs are taken at our events and published in this site's gallery, credited to the photographer. They may show participants and their vehicles.

If you appear in a photograph and want it removed, write to us: we will take it down, and you do not need to give a reason.

Cookies and analytics

This site uses no advertising cookies and does not profile you. Vercel's traffic statistics are aggregate and use neither cookies nor persistent identifiers.

Typefaces are served from our own domain: your browser contacts no third-party server to load them.

The gallery's video section embeds YouTube players. Opening that page allows YouTube to set its own cookies and collect data under Google's privacy policy, over which we have no control.

How long we keep it

• Registrations: for as long as the event requires and up to 12 months afterwards, subject to longer accounting obligations for payments received.
• Contact form messages: up to 12 months after we reply.
• Photographs published in the gallery: indefinitely, as the association's archive, unless removal is requested.

Your rights

You may at any time ask to access, correct or delete your data, and object to its processing. Write to info@japanstyleticino.ch and we will respond within a reasonable time.
